DOWN TO BUSINESS: Vice-president Joan Crooks, welcomed members and several guests to the February meeting apologising for the absence of the president and secretary who were both unwell.
Several items included in the County Newsletter were discussed and a team named for taking part in the quiz final at Usk, which takes place next month.
A report provided by the group delegate on the resolutions meeting was read out and the four items presented.
Finally Mrs Crooks asked members to vote for 12 representatives for the national Board of Trustees.
With the business of the meeting complete, the vice-president introduced Lynne Smith who has made two previous visits to Govilon WI, providing themed cookery demonstrations.
On this occasion Lynne's theme was Feeding Friends and with the help of Angela Evans, she produced five dishes which were ready for tasting by the end of the evening.
Sue Brimacombe gave a sincere vote of thanks and with other members appreciated the new additions to the delicious receipes Lynne has previously provided.
