FIREFIGHTERS had to put out a number of bin fires in the Pill area of Newport early yesterday.
The three bins were set alight on Commercial Road which were reported just before 2am.
A crew from Maindee Fire Station dealt with the fires and no one was injured in the incident.
Gwent Police were called but were not required as the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the fires.
A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said the force is awaiting a report from the fire service as to the cause.
