Cardiff City player, Danny Gabbidon, has been helping to raise funds at a seven-a-side football tournament today in Cwmbran for a popular Torfaen teacher who suffered a double stroke.
The fundraising football tournament is being held today to raise funds for Paul Scriven, 31, who, after suffering a stroke, can only move his thumb and forefinger.
Showing his support is Cardiff City and former West Ham United and Crystal Palace, Danny Gabbidon, from Cwmbran, who is taking part in the tournament.
Mr Scriven was a geography teacher at Croesyceiliog School. But in January 2009, he unexpectedly collapsed and suffered a double stroke, which left him unable to move or communicate.
