Distressed elderly couple freed from compound on Leeway Industrial Estate, Newport
FIREFIGHTERS were called when a distressed elderly couple were accidentally locked inside a compound on the Leeway Industrial Estate last night.
A crew from Maindee went to the scene at at 7.48pm.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue spokesman said the pair were cut free after firefighters used a saw to cut through the fence. They were not taken to hospital.
