ST JULIAN'S School hosted its annual community dinner on Friday, when students cooked a three course meal for parents as well as local business owners and governors.

The annual dinner was started to increase parental engagement and develop and strengthen relationships with external agencies, other schools and the community in general.

Guests were treated to music performances from students and a "Day in the life of St Julian's School" video created by the media department and students.

Students from the hospitality department cooked the food and following the meal there was a raffle with a top prize of an overnight luxurious stay at the Celtic Manor with a three course meal and spa. All departments across the school will be showcasing students' work.

Head teacher Rhys Evans said afterwards: "This is the second time I've been fortunate enough to attend this event. It's been a great success once again and everyone has had a fantastic evening."
