A DOZEN vintage MGs escorted an Ebbw Vale bride to be and her family to Abergavenny for a wedding with a difference.
Passing cars honked their horns to the trail of red, green and cream MGs on Saturday, making their way down the heads of the valleys road.
Special needs teacher Louise Holloway, 24, from Garden City and graphic designer Richard Dwyer, 28, from Abergavenny married at the Gateway Christian Centre, Monk Street.
"Louisa didn't want anything normal, the wedding was truly perfect but nowhere near normal," said mum Christine Holloway.
"Louisa did want to arrive in a dozen Minis but her and her dad are mad about MGs and as David is a member of the MG club they arranged it to travel in MGs ranging from 27-years-old to 50-years-old," added Mrs Holloway.
The day had a theme of pink and brown and the bride, wearing a champagne coloured dress and pink shoes, walked into the church to the sounds of Cerys Matthews and Stereophonics.
After the vows the newly weds left to Stevie Wonder's "Signed, sealed and delivered, I'm yours".
After the wedding, guests enjoyed a feast of curry before the cutting of the giant chocolate cake covered in Malteasers at the Priory Centre.
The couple are enjoying a week in New York before they return home and start house hunting.
