COURT: uke Meredith, aged 24, of School Terrace in Cwm, appeared at Newport Crown Court
A MAN from Ebbw Vale has admitted a charge of unlawful wounding.
Luke Meredith, aged 24, of School Terrace in Cwm, appeared at Newport Crown Court earlier today.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of wounding with intent, which was accepted by the prosecution, and pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of unlawful wounding, but on the basis that he did not hit his victim with a bottle on the night of the incident in April this year, as is claimed by the prosecution.
A further hearing will now be held on August 26 to determine the facts in the case, after which the defendant will be sentenced.
Meredith was released on conditional bail until that hearing.
