Firefighters called to Bassaleg and Llanwern schools
FIREFIGHTERS were called to two Newport high schools earlier this morning after fire alarms went off.
Fire crews from Maindee and Malpas were called to Llanwern High School at 4.30am this morning when fire alarms were activated, but no fire was discovered.
Duffryn and Malpas firefighters were also called to Bassaleg School when a fire alarm sounded at 4.55am this morning. No fire was found here either.
