THE bosses at a Newport dental practice are taking all 16 members of their staff for an all-expenses-paid trip abroad to celebrate the business’ 10 year anniversary.

Staff from Malpas Dental Practice, on Malpas Road, were told to pack a suitcase and meet at the surgery this morning before being taken to the airport – without knowing the destination.

Deborah and Keith Morgan are celebrating 10 years of running the dental practice on Monday after they took over the business in 2005.

Mrs Morgan, who worked at the practice under its previous owners since 1983, said: “It’s a secret where we are going.

“Originally it was just going to be a one night away but then I thought, what else can we do?

“We wanted them to have a relax. All the staff are brilliant. We have a fantastic team. We could not be here and do what we do without them. “

Rhonda Baker, 51, from Cwmbran is a dental nurse at the practice.

She said: “We know we have got to be in work at 7am in the morning and then we are going to the airport. But that’s it.

“Deborah’s an amazing person. She’s kept the business going, raised a family while doing a lot of fundraising for charity. They are paying for everything.”
