THREE people have been taken to hospital after a house fire in Chepstow this morning.
Crews from Chepstow, Caldicot and Gloucestershire were called to the address in Bulwark at 7.30am after the house caught ablaze.
One person escaped the fire while the other two had to be rescued by firefighters.
All three were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital.
Two hoses and one jet engine was used at the ground floor property.
A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “South Wales Fire and Rescue are still in attendance and are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the fire.”
