MEET ferrets Romeo, Juliet and Cariad who are all awaiting for a loving home to call their own.

The trio are currently being cared for at RSPCA’s Newport Animal Centre.

Animal centre manager Debbie Caffull said: “Romeo, Juliet and Cariad have been in our care for far too long and we really hope they find their forever home soon.”

All three are approximately a year old, would suit an owner who has had ferrets before and could live with children secondary school age.

The centre says Romeo and Juliet can be rehomed together as they are currently paired together and possibly could be introduced to other ferrets.

For Cariad, the centre is looking for her special Valentine, so it would like her to be rehomed with a friend.

“Romeo is a cheeky chap and is certainly full of character,” said Ms Caffull.

“He is such a friendly boy and could also live with a spayed female.

“Juliet is a pretty little girl who has an inquisitive nature, while Cariad is a friendly little ferret who likes to have lots of human attention.

"She is looking for a little bit of love this St Valentine’s Day.”

Romeo and Cariad entered RSPCA care after they were brought in by an inspector and Juliet was found as a stray.

Anyone interested in rehoming Romeo and Juliet or Cariad can contact Newport Animal Centre on 0300 123 0744 or email newport@rspca.org.uk

The centre, based at Hartridge Farm Road, is open 11.30am to 4pm every day, except Thursdays.
