BRACE’S Bread has launched a new £10,000 Community Sport Fund in partnership with the South Wales Argus to support grassroots sports club doing fantastic work within their communities.

Grants of £250- £500 are available to small sporting organisations across South East Wales and the Valleys. From kit sponsorship and new sports equipment to sport events and training for coaches, the grants will help keep community sport alive.

In 2015, Brace’s sponsored Newbridge RFC under 10s giving them the funds they needed for a complete kit - jerseys, shorts and socks - for their 15 players.

Kirsty Hansen, the under 10s team manager said, said, “Our Spartan boys were so excited about their new kit and wore the Brace’s logo with pride! We were incredibly grateful to Brace’s Bread for their contribution to our team. It’s fantastic that a large household brand were able to help a small local team start off a great new season; thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Interested sporting organisations can apply for a slice of Brace’s Community Sport Fund grant now by completing a simple application form on bracesbakery.co.uk. Applications will close on Thursday 26 May 2016.
