Fire crews have rescued the horse who is now in the care of a vet. Crews from Merthyr Tydfil and New Inn attended.

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to help a horse which has its leg impaled on a railing in Pontypool.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said crews were called at 3.48pm today and New Inn crews requested a large animal rescue unit to help with the rescue of a horse.
The horse has been impaled on railing on Blaendare Road in Pontypool. Crews are still at the scene along with the RSPCA.
