REGISTRATION is open to take part in a charity abseil off the Newport Transporter Bridge.
Last year Action on Hearing Loss Cymru held its first ever Big Drop abseil off the Mercure Hotel in Cardiff, and the 40 participants on the day helped raise more than £3,500.
The Big Drop is back and this time it’s an abseil off the Newport Transporter Bridge which will take place on Sunday, October 9. Participants will be able to walk up 278 steps and take on the challenge of free-fall abseiling 178ft (54m).
The event will raise funds for Action on Hearing Loss Cymru, who through their services and projects, work to improve the lives of people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have tinnitus.
Hearing loss affects one in six people which mean more than half a million people are affected in Wales.
