NEWPORT City Dogs Home cares for more than 500 dogs a year, and if they are not claimed by their owners, the dogs are offered for adoption.
The Argus has teamed up with the dogs home and will be regularly featuring a ‘Dog of the Week’ to help them find homes.
It's been a terrier-tastic week at Newport City Dogs Home.
Our Dog of the Week is Lincoln - a super little pocket-rocket terrier boy.
"Lincoln is a young, high-energy, inquisitive little chap, and what he lacks in inside leg measurements he certainly makes up for in personality.
"Lincoln is a very sociable little dog, and loves his play dates with the other residents.
"He and shaggy-coated Ludo terrier are best friends, (pictured above) and Lincoln could quite happily live with or without another dog.
"He's no couch-potato though, and the staff will be looking for an active home with plenty of walkies on his daily agenda.
If you'd like to meet Lincoln or Ludo, please contact Newport City Dogs Home on 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm, or pop in for a visit.
No appointment needed, and you might even get a cup of tea."
