A BRIDAL blog by a Newport woman has won a national award.
Cwtch The Bride, run by professional photographer Maria Farrelly, won the best regional wedding blog at the National Wedding Magazine last Friday.
Ms Farrelly, 38, of the Gaer, set up the blog three years ago after realising there was no blog for weddings in Wales. These days, it has 20,000 views a month.
She said: "I'm absolutely delighted we've won this award, it's fantastic.
"We're doing so well here in Wales and it's nice to get recognition for it. It's a great achievement.
"I'm quite a private person, but I think this is great because I work with a group of girls. I give them a platform to write about weddings.
"It's giving women a chance to share their views and inspire brides while giving local businesses a platform to show off what they do."
