A NEW trampoline park opened its doors in Cwmbran today.

The ‘Limitless Trampoline Park’ is located at the Leisure@Cwmbran development, which already houses Vue Cinema and restaurants.

The company, which also has a park in Swansea, was founded by a group of friends including ex-steelworkers from Port Talbot.

The key aim of the park, as stated on the company’s website, is to encourage children to “put the iPad down and engage in exercise in a fun environment”.

Bethan Green, one of the owners of Limitless, in Glyndwr Road, Cwmbran, said: “We are from Risca and we wanted to do something in our community. We are not a big franchise, we are four families trying to do something for our area.

“Trampoline parks are fantastic for fitness, you can burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour.

“It is suitable for all ages, the oldest person we have had coming to our park in Swansea was 78.

“We do fitness classes, toddler groups and groups for children in the autism spectrum where the music is quieter, for example.”

The new park offers a variety of activities, in addition to trampoline facilities.

These include a foam pit and a hang tough/battle beam gladiator-style challenge area.

A cafe on site provides visitors with food and drinks.

The Limitless Team, who work closely with local schools and charities in Swansea, hope to do similar work in Cwmbran.

Mark Robinson, 29, from Pontypool, was at the opening of the park with her step-daughter Lilly, 6.

He said: “We just wanted to have some fun, it is our first time in a trampoline park. We will come again.”

Dad-of-two Nick Tucker, 29, from Blackwood, was also at the opening. He said: “We have been to one or two in the area before and we wanted to try this one. It is fantastic there is something here now.”

Nick’s wife Emma said: “The children love the foam pit and I think we will be coming for toddler mornings.

“The park is really good and is nice and close to home, we won’t have to go to Cardiff anymore.”
