POLICE are calling for a potential witness to come forward after a teenage girl was assaulted in Cwmbran.
As the Argus already reported, the girl was walking on a lane at the side of Hennlys Waly between Ty-Canol Row and The Neerings at about 8.30am on Friday when she was attacked by a man.
The attacker is described as being in his early 20s, clean shaven and with short, dark hair described as worn in a quiff. He was around 5ft 6ins tall with a slim build and a local accent and was wearing black clothing and carrying a black umbrella.
Following the assault he walked off in the direction of Tolpath, Coed Eva.
Police have said they would like to speak to a person who was walking along Henllys Way between Orchard Court and Neerings between 8.15am and 8.30am on March 3. They were wearing mostly black clothes, but is unclear whether they were a man or a woman.
The victim was described as “safe, but understandably shaken”.
Anyone with any information can call police on 101 quoting log number 77 of March 3.
