A NEWPORT school helped two national radio stations raise money for World Kidney Day.
Malpas Court Primary school pupils wore 'something blue' to school and donated £1 each earlier this month on World Kidney Day.
The pupils helped raise more than £200 for the Bring A Pound To Work campaign.
The campaign was set up by Welsh national radio stations Nation Radio and Dragon Radio.
Presenters Carl and Rachel from Nation Radio - along with other staff members - visited the school to meet the children and collect donations.
The visit included the presenters meeting pupil Jade Charles who is a kidney patient at the Children’s Kidney Unit and is awaiting a transplant.
The day of fundraising, which included the presenters going to other schools and holding a variety of events, saw more the campaign raise more than £5,000, which went to the Kidney Wales Foundation.
