A spokeswoman for Gwent Police said: "At approximately 4.30pm on Sunday, March 19, Gwent Police received reports of a sudden death of a 15-year-old girl in Coed-Eva, Cwmbran.
"This death is not being treated as suspicious."

THE "tragic" death of a Year 11 pupil at Cwmbran High School has left a community "shocked and saddened."
Cwmbran High School is supporting staff and pupils after learning of the "sudden death" today.
A statement by headteacher Helen Coulson on the school website said: "We have learned today of the sudden death of one of our Year 11 pupils.
"The whole school community is shocked and saddened by this tragic news and our hearts go out to the family of this student, at this very difficult time.
"As a school, we always rally round in difficult times to support each other.
"We are already working closely with specific agencies to ensure a wide range of support is available to pupils and staff during this difficult time.
"Although the next few weeks will be difficult for many of us, it is important that we continue to work together to help each other."
The school will remain open. Anybody at the school with concerns should contact their head of year.
