NEWPORT City Homes and partner organisations will be coming together to clean up the brook in Bettws, Newport, as part of Keep Wales Tidy’s campaign.
The clean up will take place on Wednesday, March 22, starting at 10.30am from Lambourne Way, Bettws.
The event is part of the Great British Spring Clean, which is supported by TV naturalist and writer Steve Backshall, the Bafta-winning Deadly 60 presenter.
Across the UK, up to half a million people will be taking part in the campaign to rid the country of litter.
Newport City Homes’ executive director of operations, Robert Lynbeck, said: “Spring Clean Cymru is a brilliant campaign, highlighting the importance of maintaining the beautiful landscapes across our great nation. At Newport City Homes, we are committed to making a difference in our communities.”
