NEWPORT'S member of the Youth Parliament, Alexander Willis, was also in London yesterday and arrived in Westminster just as the attack happened.
“As I came out of the station I saw the black car which had slammed into the gate,” he said.
“Then I saw the guy with blood on his face looking in a bad state on the floor.
“Then I heard the gunshots.
“It was a bit of shock, not what I expected today.
“I hid in a group of people because I was worried I might get hurt and I wasn’t sure where the gunshots were coming from.”
Mr Willis added he believed it was “no coincidence” the attack had come a year to the day since an attack on Brussels Airport.
“It’s an attack on our democracy, on our liberty and on everything we in Britain hold dear,” he said.
“It’s horrible.”
