Pedestrian remains in critical condition following Newport bridge crash
GWENT Police have said the female pedestrian who was involved in an incident involving a pedestrian and a car last Thursday in Newport bridge remains in critical condition.
Gwent Police officers, and paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance and Wales Air Ambulance service, were called to Clarence Place at 1.30pm on Thursday.
The female pedestrian is currently in hospital after sustaining “life-threatening injuries” in the crash.
The bridge was closed for around four-and-a-half hours as a result of the incident.
