A SEVENTEEN-year-old youth from Cwmbran will appear in court next week after he was charged with common assault, assault by beating and two offences of sexual assaults upon a female.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Wednesday, April 19 following a Gwent Police appeal where an e-fit was used to help identify the individual.

“I would like to thank the public for their response to this appeal and for the many shares on social media that this generated.

"As the investigation progressed other victims were identified.

“I would like to update you that at 7.29am on Wednesday, April 18, officers arrested a 17-year-old male, who was later charged with common assault, assault by beating and two offences of sexual assaults upon a female.
