BRYNMAWR'S historic Market Hall Cinema, the oldest in Wales, has reopened today after months of uncertainty over its future.
A post on the cinema's Facebook page reports that the 123-year-old building will be open over the course of Bank Holiday weekend and into next week.
A closure notice had been issused by Blaenau Gwent council in November after asbestos was found in the roof space of an adjacent building.
Last month, the local authority gave the cinema the go-ahead to reopen.
