Man taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital attack at Newport Market
UPDATE: 10.02am
A 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested and cautioned following the incident.
Police were called at 11.45am on Wednesday after receiving reports of a fight outside Newport Market.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
UPDATE: 7.47am
A MAN has been left in hospital after he was assaulted at Newport Market.
The Welsh Ambulance Service were called to the scene in High Street at 11.52am on Wednesday morning at the request of Gwent Police.
The man was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, where his condition is currently unknown.
