SERVICE: Newport Rotaract is a unique international service for young people aged 18-30, offering a platform to create positive change in communities at home and abroad.

There are already over 8,000 Rotaract clubs in 170 countries around the world, partnered closely with Rotary International.

We’re looking for young people interested in joining this international family; a great opportunity to build your skills, connection and experience.

The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Current clubs partake in a number of social activities, fundraising and community service events. These can range from camping, paint balling and nights at the pub, to car boot sales and helping the elderly.

Organisations Rotaract have been able to help include Air Ambulance, Age UK, Comic Relief, Rotaract Overseas Project and Rotary’s End Now Polio campaign.

Rotaract empowers young adults to tackle the issues which matter to you. Whether it’s running your own international project to combat illiteracy overseas or getting stuck into local activities and fundraising projects.

But what’s in it for you? This is a great way to expand your social circle and meet new people. As well as making a difference, this is about being sociable and having fun. You can build new skills, enhance your personal development and undertake leadership roles, all of which can be great for your CV and employability.

We will be holding an interest meeting in a few weeks so come along!
