A Gwent-headquartered recovery agency has rebranded as part of its plans to double in size over the next five years.

The Caldicot Group, formally known as Caldicot Fleet Maintenance, is one of the UK’s leading recovery sector specialists with a fleet of 100 vehicles and depots in Caldicot and Walsall serving more than 500 businesses across its nationwide recovery network.

As a Highways England contractor the group is also responsible for delivering the recovery contracts for some of the country’s biggest motorway improvement schemes.

Headquartered at the Severn Bridge Industrial Estate in Caldicot, the group features three separate business divisions – Caldicot Recovery, Caldicot Maintenance, and Caldicot Recovery Systems, which in the last 12 months has secured the UK sales rights for major European brand Tevor’s recovery equipment products.

With a turnover of more than £5m and employing more than 70 staff the group offers national and pan-European vehicle recovery and maintenance services. The rebrand is a strategic part of its plans to double in size over the next five years as it looks to strengthen its UK-market share and benefit more local companies in South Wales and the West of England through the provision of cost-effective recovery and vehicle maintenance packages.

Gavin Edwards, Caldicot Group managing director, said: “We have re-launched the company with a new name and image to match that of the service we deliver for our clients.

“Moving is important to the businesses we serve because if they are not moving they are not making money. We understand that and it’s what drives us every day to deliver a service companies can truly rely upon and trust.

“Over the last 18-months we have increased our standing as our Highways England approved contractor and invested significantly in our nationwide and pan-European recovery services. This investment programme is to ensure we are able to assist more businesses, particularly those in South Wales and the West of England where we feel there is opportunity to support these companies by delivering more cost-effective recovery and vehicle maintenance packages tailored to their own individual needs. We are looking forward to working with these companies in the coming months and helping their businesses grow.”
