Police have confirmed Shaun Davies has been arrested.

THERE was a heavy police presence in Blackwood on Saturday as officers searched for a Caerphilly man in connection with an assault.

Officers were seen in Llanover Avenue, Pontllanfraith, during the afternoon, with eye witnesses describing seeing armed police with a dog unit in the area.

However, Gwent Police said officers were looking for 28-year-old Shaun Davies in connection with an assault in Fleur De Lis.

The assault happened on Saturday July 15 at around 2.40pm.

Officers are appealing for anyone who knows of Shaun’s whereabouts to come forward.

The 28-year-old is described as around 5 foot 8 inches tall, with black hair and slim build. He has two tattoos on his right hand, one is an animal print the other says ‘Loved by few hated by many’. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
