THE original singer of hard rock group AC/DC has announced another show in Gwent.

Dave Evans, who is also one of the founding member of the group and was part of the band between 1973-1974, will be visiting Gwent next month as part of his tour of Europe.

He will be performing at the Boat Inn, in Chepstow, on Sunday, September 10.

It has now been announced he will also be acting in The Trinant Show on Saturday, September 9 as part of a festival called “Top of the Rock 3”.

The show is taking place at the Trinant sports and social club, in Conway Road, and will be a part of an entire weekend of live bands.

Tour manager Matthew Scott has previously said: “His band includes a number of prominent musicians from other well known groups such as The Bee Gees or Saxon.

“It worked so well last year we decided to do it again this year.

“He is doing quite an extensive tour around the UK and Europe.”

Mr Scott, who plays for Newport-band 7th Circle, will also be joining Mr Evans on his tour as a guitarist.

He said that Mr Evans is a “fantastic” guy who is “very professional”.
