A CRASH, a broken-down lorry and a major traffic light failure has caused significant delays on the M4 and in Newport this morning.
At around 7.30am, one lane was closed for around 20 minutes on Malpas Road following a crash between a lorry and a car.
The road has since been reopened but queueing traffic has stretched back onto the A4051, where a truck has also stalled.
Waiting times in the traffic queues could exceed 15 minutes.
Congestion is visible on the M4 on the approach to the Brynglas Tunnels and between Junction 26 (Malpas) and Junction 27 (High Cross).
This is due to a major traffic lights failure on the M4 westbound at Junction 28 (Tredegar Park).
