WE WILL announce the winners of our Gwent’s Prettiest Pet competition on Friday.
Two winners, one chosen by an online public vote and the other chosen by artist Christopher Langley, will receive a pet portrait worth £170 created by Mr Langley.
Thousands of people voted for their favourite from a shortlist of five pets for the reader winner.
It followed a supplement we published earlier this month which featured hundreds of the pets submitted for consideration.
Both the reader winner, and Mr Langley’s choice, will receive a bespoke print on canvas created by Mr Langley - who is one of the artists in residence at the Celtic Manor Resort.
The prints, on A2 canvas, will be created from a digital painting of the each pet and will have a signed certificate of authentication on the back.
Mr Langley said: “There’s something very satisfying about being able to give a client a wonderful and lasting reminder of their beloved pet.”
