FAST food giant KFC has revealed it hopes to open a new restaurant at Friars Walk.
KFC, which is the world's second biggest fast food chain after McDonalds, submitted a planning application last month.
The plan shows that the company hopes to open an eatery next door to Cineworld.
A KFC spokesman said: “We are in negotiations to open a new restaurant in Friars Walk, Newport.
"Keep an eye out for more exciting KFC news.”
