Man in court charged with attempted murder of a police officer
A MAN appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with the attempted murder of a police officer.
Tony Buttigieg, aged 36, of Flavius Close, Caerleon, Newport, was arrested following reports of disorder at an address in Caerleon on October 2.
His case has been sent to crown court.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear in Newport Crown Court on November 8.
