A SURVEY into women in the fire service has been launched by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
Although the service employs 1,300 firefighters, just 35 of these, less than three per cent, are women.
A statement on the online survey said: "We want to change that and this research will help us to understand what the girls and women who live in south Wales think about being a firefighter and how we can encourage more to apply."
