GWENT Police are appealing for information to help identify four people who officers would like to speak to in relation to a burglary at the Abertillery Institute.

The incident occurred at 4.10pm on Tuesday, October 10 when officers were notified about a break in at a large empty building on Division Street in Abertillery.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “A forced entry had been made to the building and damaged caused to the interior including; smashed windows, fire extinguishers have been set off and paint has been thrown around.”

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the identities of the people caught on CCTV should call the police on 101, quoting log reference 305 10/10/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The institute was put up for sale in 2016 for £70,000.
