PRODUCER of BBC'S Blue Planet programme Martha Holmes inspired children at a Science Day at a Chepstow school.
The executive producer of The Blue Planet and Life series enthralled pupils at St John's-On-The-Hill school, providing a glimpse of work behind the scenes.
Dressed as scientists, children took part in a range of activities at the event on Thursday. Ruth Frett, headteacher, said it was a "riveting visit."
She said: "Her stories of battling with snakes, alligators, sub-zero and tropical temperatures, not to mention protective mummy polar bears certainly held our pupils’ attention and was a great way to begin our exciting Science Day.”
