A POLICE witness appeal has been launched following an armed robbery at a Pontypool petrol station.
Gwent Police confirm the incident involved two men entering the Albion Road Filling Station in Pontypool armed with a crow bar and a Stanley knife on November 14.
A spokeswoman added that at around 9.40pm, they demanded money from a till and safe and also stole cigarettes.
Following investigations, two 36-year-old men were arrested and they remain in police custody pending enquiries.
The police spokeswoman added: "The person working in the Filling Station was not hurt but was extremely shaken by the incident.
"Officers are keen to speak to a person who entered the store when the robbery was taking place. "Was this you? If you are this person, please be reassured that you are not in any trouble but you may have information that is vital to our enquiries."
