MEET our South Wales Argus Camera Club member Nadine Hudson-Featherstone.

Nadine is 36, lives in Gelligaer and works as a safer communities coordinator.

Q. How did you get into photography?

A. I love the idea that a picture captures a moment in time, I would look at pictures and canvases for sale and always think 'I wish I could take my own pictures to put up at home' so decided to join a photography evening class. After being in the class for a month I purchased my first digital SLR camera and haven’t stopped snapping pictures since.

Q. What camera do you use?

A. I have two cameras, a Canon 500d (my first) and a Canon 70d. I use both with a number of different lenses depending on the subject I'm capturing.

Q. What is your favourite subject to photograph?

A. I love all types of photography including music, landscape, family pictures, wildlife and at the moment I am enjoying macro photography, I love how the camera can capture such minute detail that is not always visible to the naked eye.

Q. Why did you join the camera club?

A. I love to see all of the images people share of the places they have visited across Gwent and how creative people can be.

Q. Where was the last place you took a photograph?

A. The last place I took a photograph was at Caerphilly Castle earlier this week when walking through town, I don’t travel far without a camera as you never know when you will come across your next photo opportunity!
