A GWENT band, that are currently in rehearsals for a US tour with Tom Jones, have been announced as headliners for a festival.
Blackwood duo, Into The Ark, who were the runners up on the 2017 edition of The Voice UK, will be headlining Newport’s Portstock music festival on Saturday, August 18.
The pair shared the news with their fans on social media yesterday.
Portstock will be a celebration of live music from Newport and the surrounding areas while raising funds to support the work of St David’s Hospice Care.
There will be two stages on the day with music ranging from acoustic artists to full rock bands.
Bands include the Ed Sheeran Encounter and the popular Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band.
Into The Ark released their new single No Place Like Home on April 6 and will be leaving for the States in just over a week.
They will be on tour in America and Canada with Sir Tom Jones who was their mentor on The Voice UK.
