A NEWPORT school's video showing how Wales could reduce carbon has been named the winner of a national competition.
Eco-Schools Wales, on behalf of Welsh Government and run by Keep Wales Tidy, asked pupils to produce a video showing how Wales could achieve a low carbon future.
In their videos, pupils were encouraged to think how Wales can achieve cleaner energy, air and water, healthier food and less pollution through creative ways.
The winning entry came from Gaer Primary School, Newport, who displayed creative ways to reduce carbon while showcasing excellent digital skills.
Mr Alex Smith, headteacher at Gaer Primary School, said: "We were delighted to have won this competition.
"We are fully committed to working with our children to tackle and raise awareness of environmental issues."
