A FUNDRAISING concert to counter racism in society is being held in Newport today. (SAT)
THE Neon will be playing host to Love Music, Hate Racism (LMHR) event by Ska Legend, and Neville Staple and the Neville Staple band.
Set up in 2002, LMHR uses "the energy" of music to celebrate diversity and involve people in anti-racist activity.
There have been now been many hundreds of LMHR events.
Ben Harris, who is the events programmer at the Neon, said: "We are proud to support the diversity in Newport with a lineup of incredible talent representing the rich multicultural influences of South Wales artists from Roots Reggae, Urban Spoken word and Rap to the Birth of British Punk for such a amazing cause. Showing Newport can come together for positive change in our local communities."
Entry is free, but organisers ask for a donation to LMHR.
