POLICE have issued an appeal for any dash cam footage of Thursday’s fatal M4 crash.

It was confirmed yesterday that Jeffrey Paul Williams, 56, from Cwmbran was killed in the three vehicle crash on the eastbound carriageway on Thursday, June 21.

A 60-year-old man remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Now, Gwent Police are appealing to any drivers who might have seen what happened to come forward.

A force spokesman said: “At approximately 4.35pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the M4 Eastbound carriageway, between junctions 29 and 28.
 

“A red Honda 4x4, black Perodua and silver Audi A6 were involved in the collision. The male driver of the Perodua suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.  
 

“A 60-year-old man from Buckinghamshire, who was driving the Honda vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody at this time.
 

“Specialist officers are supporting the family of the deceased.
 

“Investigations are ongoing into the incident. Officers would be particularly interested in hearing for motorists with dash cam footage of the incident.
 

“Any witnesses are asked to contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 358 of 21/6/18.”
