WARBURTONS will officially open its first bakery in Wales today, marking a £10 million investment in Gwent.
While the site at Wern Industrial Estate, Rogerstone has created more than 150 new jobs in the area and has been running for over a year, the company's chairman Jonathan Warburton will be in Newport to give the facility his seal of approval.
Other parties involved in the event will include organisations which have benefitted from Warburtons community donations such as the Newport Gwent Dragons rugby team, Pippins Design and Rogerstone's primary school and superschools.
Bolton-based Warburton's is a family-run bakers that has been in business for 127 years.
