A MULTI-MILLION pound housing estate featuring affordable homes will be built in Newport by Lovell.
The estate, which will feature 32 homes, is to be built in the Playford Crescent and Handel Close area of Ringland.
Work on the site, which is the second phase of a regeneration programme, is set to start later this month.
The project, which will feature a mixture of houses, bungalows and apartments and cost £2.9 million, is due for completion in summer 2009.
Lovell will build the estate, which will also feature homes for rent, after being chosen by Fairlake Properties to undertake the job.
The first phase of the programme, which involved building 34 homes for both rent and sale, began last year.
