This year's Pandy Show at Blaengavenny Farm Llanvihangel Crucorney enjoyed better weather and attendances than last year's event. The continued collaboration between the committees of the Show and of the Vintage Rally proved to be very successful once again. Show Chairman Terry Bayliss estimated that nearly £5000 had been raised for Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice for Wales, and other local charities. Entries were up for many of the competitions. A particular highlight of the event was the competition for the winning Ploughing Match National Vintage Tractor and Engine club for 2008. The winning team was Ralph Homer ( the individual highest points scorer) Ian Ferguson (Ferguson class), Graham Deakin (vintage trailer class), Mike Powell (walk behind), Fred Jones and Terry Bayliss (vintage hydraulics) Committee members have received a very positive reaction to this year's event. However Terry Bayliss appealed for more local volunteers to join the small Show committee.
