THE TENTH annual Abergavenny Food Festival will see guest appearances from royal in-law Tom Parker-Bowles and former Blur bass player Alex James.

The food festival runs the weekend of September 20 and 21 with stalls situated across the centre of Abergavenny.

Mr Parker-Bowles, son of the Duchess of Cornwall, himself a food columnist will judge the dishes made by youth centres competing in a race around the town's stalls before cooking with two professional chefs.

Mr James, however will be exhibiting his own culinary skills. The musician will be offering samples of his homemade 'Little Wallop' cheese which he makes with his neighbour Juliet Harbutt in the Cotswolds.

Ms Harbutt is the founder of the British Cheese Awards and formed a cheese making partnership with Mr James in their mutual love for the food last year.
