MORE than 400 students took part in a fashion extravaganza at Coleg Gwent this week.
Trainee hair and beauty stylists were centre stage at a School for Creative Industries showcase at the college's Nash Road campus on Monday.
Students competed for prizes in a dazzling catwalk show, which included designed based around Bollywood and the film Casino Royale.
Hayley Wice, head of the school at Newport, said: "It is an excellent opportunity for the students to show off the skills they've learned while studying at the campus.
"It's also great experience for them to demonstrate their passion and creativity in front of their friends, family, college staff and potential employers."
