A CYCLIST was killed this morning in a collision with a car on Mountain Road, Caerphilly.
Police are appealing for information after the female cyclist hit a Honda car at around 9.25am this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mountain Road, from the Watford junction towards the mountain, is closed and diversions have been put in place.
A 28 year old man from Caerphilly has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and is currently in police custody.
