MURDER squad detectives arrested a fourth man in connection with the death of a Tredegar teenager.
Rhys Davies, 17, of Walter Conway Avenue on the Cefn Golau estate, died of head injuries on Saturday, February 14 after an alleged assault at around 6.40pm in Cardiff the night before.
A 20-year-old man from Roath, Cardiff, was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody being questioned.
Mr Davies had been out shopping with a friend when it is believed they became involved in an argument with some passers-by in St Mary Street while making their way to catch a bus home.
Officers from South Wales Police are keen to trace a man on a bike who it is believed held shopping bags belonging to Mr Davies’ friend shortly after the incident and could have vital information.
He was wearing a black donkey-style jacket with an orange tabard.
Three other men arrested in connection with Mr Davies' death remain on police bail.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room at Fairwater Police Station on 029 2057 1530 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
